Lee Price has been painting women and food for 20 years. Her hyperrealism oil paintings are mostly set in bathtubs and on beds, which are places of solitude. When asked about her visual bird's eye view style, she responded with, "My use of the bird’s eye view gets interpreted as a voyeurism thing or a
God’s eye view a lot—it’s neither. It’s the subject looking down on
herself—observing herself in the act of the compulsive behavior, being
completely aware of what she is doing but unable to stop. I’ve spoken to
friends who have had this same experience in relation to drug
addiction. It’s a bit like an out-of-body experience."
Let's get to it:
Lee Price ! i love her concept, this reminds me of the failures in properly using our metacognition, our awareness of being aware and properly acting upon it. the failures in doing so leading to inaction and or indulging oneself in immediate temptations. thank you, I might use this for future reference.
