Meet Donato, and welcome to his world of fantasy. Where mermaids, astronauts, dragons, damsels and knights come into one. Donato was born in 1967 and raised in Vermont. He teaches at the School of Visual Arts in New York City and appears at various institutions, seminars and conventions across the globe where he performs demonstrations in oil paint and lectures on his aesthetics. He has won numerous awards since his professional career in 1993 and his list of clients include everything from major book publishers to design firms such as The United Nations, LucasFilm, National Geographic, CNN, DC Comics, Microsoft, Playboy, Random House, Simon&Schuster and Hasbro.
