Web Finds: DPRK - The Land of Whispers

North Korea is like that one enigmatic kid back in middle school that no one talked to and then suddenly the kid got home-schooled and his existence has become fairly questionable. It's no wonder that many documentarians and filmmakers aspire to visit this dreaded country to see what all the fuss is about. News about North Korea are vague and not enough to satiate our hunger for the unknown. So this filmmaker went to North Korea and exposed them for who they are; just a couple of normal citizens doing normal citizen-y things, if you don't count the fact that they're in a crazy socialist regime led by a crazy leader. If any of you are Avatar The Last Airbender fans, North Korea is basically like Ba Sing Se and all the workers are like Joo Dee who has been brainwashed by the Dai Li.

Let's get to it:

The documentary is filmed in a very relaxed and observational manner. It's like experiencing it for yourself, basically. These guys didn't get special treatment (like that BBC documentary in North Korea) so this is what would happen to you if one day you decide to visit.
