You all probably picture North Korea as this bleak, gray country with sad people and maximum-security prisons. If you do, then this might come as a surprise. This video is the first government-authorized footage of the the capital Pyongyang, filmed using a GoPro Hero 3. It's a photographic project by Aram Pan entitled DPRK360 to capture the essence of North Korea through the use of panorama pictures and videos. The weirdest thing about Pyongyang is that it looks like every other city in the world, but...empty. And not just the public-holiday-empty, but real, Silent Hill type of emptiness. Post-apocalyptic city type. Pyongyang looked good, clean, and well, pretty beautiful to be honest with you. But the streets were free of cars and billboards, and it felt like a barren town instead of a capital city. It's pretty odd seeing how normal everything looks. I guess we have to learn beyond all the scary North Korea stories and Kim Jong Un memes.
